This is George, our nine-year-old retriever. He’s a gentle, affectionate soul who adores people and loves making friends with other dogs. You’ll often find him wagging his tail and greeting everyone with a friendly smile, always hoping for a bit of attention or a quick pat on the head.
We completely understand, however, that not everyone feels as enthusiastic about dogs as George does, and that some pets prefer their own space. If you’re not comfortable around dogs, or if your pet isn’t too keen on meeting others, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We’ll make sure George is kept at a comfortable distance so that everyone can relax and enjoy their time here.
From pine martins, stoats, hedgehogs and even red squirrels there is an abundance of wildlife. Relax on your patio or in our mature garden where a gently flowing stream runs through it, George often goes here to cool off on hot days - yes we do get one or two in the highlands!
Roe deer are frequently seen around the property with the larger red deer in the woods around us. Owls hoot at night outside of the window and in the summer at dusk bats can be seen swooping around looking for insects.
Red kites are often seen above us on the search for tasty morsels. All of the wildlife photo's on the website were taken from Clashmore Wood garden. If you're lucky you might even see a golden eagle!
Red squirrels are now seen locally after being introduced to Migdale in October 2020.
