Dornoch's beaches are a wonderful place to take a leisurely stroll or to walk the dog.

Adjacent to the world famous Royal Dornoch golf course they make for a fabulous day out.

If you're feeling extra brave you could also take a dip in the north sea. It's cold but refreshing, especially during the summer months.

While Royal Dornoch golf course is the jewel in the golf crown of north Scotland, Tom Watson said it was the most fun he ever had on a golf course, there are any number of courses for all abilities within 40 minutes drive of us. 

Take a short drive up to Brora and play a links course that is as challenging as any but won't challenge your budget.

For an historic day out why not visit Dunrobin Castle.

Just 25 minutes drive North this 189 room house, the most northerly of Scotland's great houses is a must visit for those of a historical bent.

Resembling more a great french chateaux than a traditional Scottish castle, it is nonetheless a building full of architectural wonder and historical interest. 

Open from April 1st every year there also falconary and other activities available.
